My mother's maiden name is Cochran, descended from John Cochran of County Armagh,
Ireland, born in 1725. He came to America in about 1740 with his brothers James and Robert.
He lived in Virginia, and he and his wife Susanna had 6 children. Our branch of the family
migrated to Arkansas, where my grandfather, John Claiborne Cochran, was a farmer in the
Little Rock area.
