The fatherhood award 2000 went to John Grul. Over the years John and his wife have taken
in 100 children from the streets. One child was brought into his home when he was only
months old and is now two years of age and still lives with him. They have picked up 100
children, taken them into the warmth of their home and loved them, raised them and given
them hope. He is connected with Teen Challenge. The community service award was granted
to Dr Ivan Herald, who participates in marriage counselling and wants to bring together people
with problems. Approximately 100 to 150 people attended the presentation of the awards.
